Mecanismos de defesa e inmunidad<\/h3>\n<h3>2.1Mecanismos de defensa inespec\u00edficos<\/h3>\n<p>Existen en el hu\u00e9sped dos tipos de mecanismos que impiden la aparici\u00f3n de una infecci\u00f3n, estos son:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Mecanismo de resistencia inespec\u00edfica:<\/strong> act\u00faan contra una gran cantidad de agentes causales biol\u00f3gicos, de tal forma que s\u00f3lo unos cuantos son capaces de producir enfermedades, como ejemplo: La mucosa del tracto respiratorio est\u00e1 tapizada por un epitelio con moco que atrapa bacterias, hongos y virus. Los seres vivos pueden resistir picaduras de insectos o algunos animales.<\/p>\n<p>Un individuo o un animal son inmunes cuando resiste a determinado <em>agente pat\u00f3geno o sus toxinas<\/em>. La condici\u00f3n contraria a la inmunidad es la <em>susceptibilidad<\/em>. Es susceptible toda persona o animal que no ha desarrollado inmunidad frente a un agente pat\u00f3geno determinado o sus toxinas. Los mecanismos de la respuesta inmune se producen como respuesta a un est\u00edmulo definido\u00a0(<em>ant\u00edgeno<\/em>) que act\u00faa provocando la reacci\u00f3n de ciertos tejidos capaces de generar principalmente sustancias espec\u00edficas llamadas anticuerpos.<\/p>\n<p>Un <em>ant\u00edgeno<\/em> (Ag) es toda sustancia extra\u00f1a que al introducirse en el organismo, provoca la respuesta inmune; comprende una serie de fen\u00f3menos que fabrican anticuerpos o c\u00e9lulas que act\u00faan por contacto o liberando compuestos en el sitio en que se efect\u00faa la reacci\u00f3n. Un <em>anticuerpo<\/em> (Ac) es la sustancia que produce el organismo como respuesta a la introducci\u00f3n de un ant\u00edgeno y reacciona con \u00e9l. El anticuerpo neutraliza al ant\u00edgeno.<\/p>\n<p>Casi todas las prote\u00ednas de los agentes biol\u00f3gicos son <strong>antig\u00e9nicas<\/strong> es decir provocan en el organismo la formaci\u00f3n de anticuerpos. Mecanismo de forma Innata o natural o inespec\u00edfica: mecanismos inespec\u00edficos de defensa frente a microorganismos. Se genera una respuesta inmune que no se incrementan tras exposiciones repetidas al mismo agente. La misma c\u00e9lula o mol\u00e9cula del S.I. del organismo act\u00faa frente a los diferentes agentes extra\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<h4>2.1.1 Primera l\u00ednea de defensa: piel y mucosas. Barreras anat\u00f3micas, f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmicas y biol\u00f3gicas<\/h4>\n<p><strong>1.a. Barreras F\u00edsicas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Piel: solo suele ser atravesada cuando presenta soluciones de continuidad.<\/li>\n<li>Mucus: envuelve a los agentes extra\u00f1os e impide que ejerzan su acci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<li>Cilios (ej. tr\u00e1quea): dificultan el avance del agente, ascensor mucociliar, con agentes surfactantes.<\/li>\n<li>Tos, estornudo, peristaltismo Se forman peque\u00f1os co\u00e1gulos que a\u00edslan la infecci\u00f3n, impidiendo su diseminaci\u00f3n, aislando el agente extra\u00f1o del contacto con otros tejidos corporales.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Plaquetas<\/em>: provienen de los megacariocitos de la m\u00e9dula \u00f3sea. Son imprescindibles en la coagulaci\u00f3n sangu\u00ednea. Adem\u00e1s liberan serotonina que colabora con la reacci\u00f3n inflamatoria y con la reparaci\u00f3n de los tejidos da\u00f1ados.<\/li>\n<li><em>Mastocitos<\/em>: se encuentran en los tejidos, como el tejido conjuntivo y en las mucosas. Poseen en su citoplasma gr\u00e1nulos con histamina, que cuando se liberan colaboran con la reacci\u00f3n inflamatoria, pero producen s\u00edntomas adversos en los casos de alergias. pseud\u00f3podos y englobar y destruir sustancias extra\u00f1as, as\u00ed como c\u00e9lulas da\u00f1adas y tumorales. Estos fagocitos son de varios tipos:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><em>Leucocitos neutr\u00f3filos:<\/em> acuden al lugar de la infecci\u00f3n atra\u00eddos por sustancias qu\u00edmicas (quimot\u00e1cticas). Atraviesan el endotelio de los capilares sangu\u00edneos por diap\u00e9desis (salida de los leucocitos a los tejidos). Combaten la infecci\u00f3n por medio de la fagocitosis, generando pus (restos de g\u00e9rmenes pat\u00f3genos y leucocitos).<\/li>\n<li><em>Leucocitos eosin\u00f3filos:<\/em> tienen una acci\u00f3n fagoc\u00edtica d\u00e9bil, pero act\u00faan en gran n\u00famero ante casos de par\u00e1sitos que por su tama\u00f1o no pueden ser fagocitados (tenias, lombrices, etc.). Act\u00faan liberando los gr\u00e1nulos de su citoplasma, generando citotoxicidad y neurotoxicidad en los par\u00e1sitos. Depende de factores innatos gen\u00e9ticamente controlados. La inmunidad adquirida est\u00e1 basada en los Ac; es la m\u00e1s eficiente y la m\u00e1s importante, y se clasifica en pasiva o activa.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Inmunidad adquirida pasiva: es la que se adquiere por medio de la introducci\u00f3n al organismo de Ac preformados: puede obtenerse en forma natural o artificial.<\/li>\n<li>Inmunidad adquirida activa: es la habilidad o condici\u00f3n adquirida por los tejidos para producir Ac espec\u00edficos a partir de contactos con agentes microbianos o sus toxinas (Ag).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>2.2.2.1 Inmunidad medida por c\u00e9lulas<\/h4>\n<p><em>Inmunidad celular:<\/em> se manifiesta por la aparici\u00f3n de c\u00e9lulas del sistema linfoide con una mayor habilidad para matar y destruir a la c\u00e9lula que tiene el ant\u00edgeno. <em>La inmunidad humoral<\/em> es la presencia o producci\u00f3n resultante de las inmunoglobulinas o anticuerpos contra ant\u00edgenos de microorganismos o de sus productos, es el m\u00e1s importante. La reacci\u00f3n Ag-Ac es una combinaci\u00f3n que forma un complejo Ag-Ac. Las reacciones secundarias se aprovechan para detectar Ag, descubrir Ac u otro tipo de pruebas serol\u00f3gicas.<\/p>\n<p>Por la forma de manifestarse, los Ac responsables de estas reacciones se denominan aglutininas, precipitinas y lisinas. Cuando la reacci\u00f3n Ag-Ac destruye las c\u00e9lulas o da\u00f1a intensamente los tejidos, se produce la alergia. Las c\u00e9lulas aumentan si permeabilidad, o son destruidas y se liberan sustancias como la histamina, serotonina, calicre\u00edna, bradicinina, heparina, leucotaxina, etc\u00e9tera. Los Ag que provocan la alergia se llaman al\u00e9rgenos y las reacciones al\u00e9rgicas pueden ser localizadas o generalizadas.<\/p>\n<h4>2.2.2.2 Inmunoglobulinas<\/h4>\n<p>Los anticuerpos son prote\u00ednas globulares llamadas inmunoglobulinas que, producidas por los linfocitos B, participan en la defensa contra agentes pat\u00f3genos.<\/p>\n<p>Circulan por la sangre y penetran en los fluidos corporales donde se unen espec\u00edficamente al ant\u00edgeno que provoc\u00f3 su formaci\u00f3n. Estructuralmente son mol\u00e9culas formadas por una o varias unidades estructurales b\u00e1sicas, seg\u00fan el tipo de anticuerpo. Cada unidad est\u00e1 formada por cuatro cadenas polip\u00e9ptidicas iguales dos a dos. Dos cadenas pesadas (H) y dos ligeras (L), y una cadena gluc\u00eddica unida a cada una las cadenas pesadas. Las uniones entre las subunidades proteicas se establecen por puentes disulfuro. Ver figura 2.2-1.<\/p>\n<p>Tanto en las cadenas ligeras como en las cadenas pesadas hay dos porciones, la porci\u00f3n variable (diferente en cada anticuerpo) y la porci\u00f3n constante. La porci\u00f3n variable es la encargada de reconocer al ant\u00edgeno. La regi\u00f3n constante determina el tipo de anticuerpo (hay nueve tipos de regiones constantes distintas).<\/p>\n<p>Los anticuerpos tienen adem\u00e1s una zona bisagra, que les permiten adaptarse mejor al ant\u00edgeno. Diagrama de inmonoglobulinas.<\/p>\n<h4>2.2.2.3 Reacci\u00f3n de hipersensibilidad<\/h4>\n<p>La respuesta al\u00e9rgica es una reacci\u00f3n de ciertos componentes del sistema inmunitario contra una sustancia extra\u00f1a (al\u00e9rgeno) que por lo general es inofensiva. Estas reacciones pueden pasar desapercibidas, pero a veces se producen reacciones exageradas, que resultan perjudiciales si se repiten los contactos con el ant\u00edgeno: son las reacciones de hipersensibilidad.<\/p>\n<h2>CONCLUSI\u00d3N<\/h2>\n<p>En las personas que gozan de buena salud, el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico puede distinguir entre los tejidos propios del cuerpo y los extra\u00f1os que lo invaden, tales como virus y bacterias. El sistema inmunol\u00f3gico es la defensa natural del cuerpo contra las infecciones, como las bacterias y los virus. A trav\u00e9s de una reacci\u00f3n bien organizada, su cuerpo ataca y destruye los organismos infecciosos que lo invaden. Estos cuerpos extra\u00f1os se llaman ant\u00edgenos.<\/p>\n<p>La inflamaci\u00f3n viene a ser la respuesta del sistema inmunol\u00f3gico a los ant\u00edgenos. Como respuesta a la infecci\u00f3n o la lesi\u00f3n, diversas clases de gl\u00f3bulos blancos se transportan por el torrente sangu\u00edneo hasta el lugar de la infecci\u00f3n y solicitan m\u00e1s gl\u00f3bulos blancos. Cuando la amenaza desaparece, la inflamaci\u00f3n cede. Por ejemplo: cuando una persona se corta o tiene gripe, la inflamaci\u00f3n se usa para matar la bacteria o el virus que invade el cuerpo.<\/p>\n<p>Esto nos hace cuestionarnos de c\u00f3mo funciona el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico, y es precisamente el mantener a los microorganismos infecciosos como determinadas bacterias, virus y hongos, fuera de nuestro cuerpo, y destruir cualquier microorganismo infeccioso que logre invadir nuestro organismo. Este sistema est\u00e1 formado por una red compleja y vital de c\u00e9lulas y \u00f3rganos que protegen al cuerpo de las infecciones. Por lo que podemos concluir que el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico es complejo y tan notablemente eficaz que incorpora especificidad, inducibilidad y adaptaci\u00f3n.
