Ya sea de forma gr\u00e1fica, utilizando la ley del paralelogramo, o anal\u00edtica mediante la descomposici\u00f3n de las fuerzas en sus componentes rectangulares. Es importante mencionar que el alumno debe dominar las funciones trigonom\u00e9tricas, \u00e1lgebra y aritm\u00e9tica para la aplicaci\u00f3n de la teor\u00eda en la soluci\u00f3n l\u00f3gica de los problemas. Entendi\u00e9ndose por fuerzas concurrentes sobre una part\u00edcula: que las fuerzas act\u00faan sobre un mismo punto.
