With this class we start the fourth section of this course and we are going to review some basic concepts of coagulation physiology. The study of coagulation Is known as hemostasis, and It Is a very Important part of hematology since many hemorrhage alterations are present In most of the patients, but also the counterpart, thrombosis.

In this class we are going to study the basic concepts of the coagulation cascade theory, In order to understand the laboratory tests and results, but also the coagulation cellular theory, In order to understand the In vivo processes, especially what could be happening In hemophilic patients. Hope this class will help you to understand the basic concepts of hemostasis, let’s get started.

Introduction Hello, welcome to this 15th class of the Hematology course provided by the University of Guanajuato.
