With this class we start the fourth section of this course and we are going to review some basic concepts of exploration of primary hemostasia. This corresponds to the laboratory tests, especially in the emergency room or focused when a patient presents hemorrhagic episodes or is going to have a surgical procedure. Also, some laboratory test focused on thrombosis are going to be reviewed, although this part Is difficult because these pathologies most of the time are silent and when they are present, patients tend to have a lot of complications.

Hope this class will help you to understand the basic concepts of hemostasis, let’s get started.

Introduction Hello, welcome to this 16th class of the Hematology course provided by the University of Guanajuato.
